welcome to our CRIB

It has been a long time in coming but holler for new housezzz! We made the move, and although it wasn't easy it was done. It all started off on an early Saturday morning (yes my weekend was tarnished cause I didn't get to sleep in, but it was worth the tarnishing to get a new house I guess) when Jfay and I, and two handsome babeskas of ours (thank God almighty they were down to help) took only like 2-3 hrs and busted out the move of all our pretty little things and furniture. Papa Joe helped out by renting the UHAUL. Not gonna lie, we all looked at each other in a very uncertain way, when we realized someone needed to actually get behind the wheel of that massive thing. But the boyzz did good and got our treasures to where they need to go, and all stayed in one piece! A few mattress disagreements and some futon in the doorway cursing later, we were donezo. And now we've finally been enjoying our home sweet home. Having to spend a night for 3 hours cleaning out the old copperfield apt. put a small damper on that week. But girls had to do what girls had to do! It was not pretty...aaat all. But the good news is that if you now are looking for a cheap plumber, holleratyer girl, cause I now have the experience. Four words....long, hair, grime and sink. SICK. Super sick. Anyways, we got the job done, peaced out and never turned back. Except for when Howard and Donna the crazy old management love birdzz made us bring our keys to them days later.
Our new third roomie Brianne moved her goods in slowly but surely. We've been here about 3 weeks now, and she still likes to give a disclaimer to people looking at her room, that she hasn't finished moving in and setting up. Get it together girl, her room looks ten times better than mine!
The bills were set in place, slowly, reallll slowly, who knew they wouldn't give us our trash cans until we actually paid? Pshh. Had some minuuuute problems with the comcast wireless, girlsgirlsgirls is officially in action now, don't even trip. And now we are enjoying the luxury of being in our own place:
 Our own backyard
 Our own garage
More storage then we need for sure
No footsteps to hear but our own
We can play our music as loud as we want
No lil' wayne lollipop blasting at all hours of all days (please see previous post from '08)
Blasting lil' wayne everything else all hours of all days
 Hardwood floors...kinda tight
 Fireplace....real right
 Driveway
PLAID PANTRY!!!!
.....just a few perks if you will.

Now what you are about to see, is the product of all our hard online searching, craigslist stalking, and repetitive driving around Salem! VOILA!

Goodbyyyye Copperfield, Hellllloooo River Rd. Movin OUT Movin ON

holla holla holla, we found one! We finally found one. What you might ask? A House. It's pretty purrrfect. Jfay and I met good ol Tyler the realtor boy on Thursday at 7:30 a.m. Earliest I've been up in a while I think. We originally met to look at one house, but viewed a second one as well. Which was just so lovely we couldn't pass it up. Hopefully within a few weeks, (and the next few blogzz maybe?) we'll have moved into the new crib and post up some photozz. It's a 4 bedroom 2.5 bath. We have our own little lovely back yard, a big drive way, and it's in the far corner of the mini-wannabe neighborhood on River Rd, so it's kinda set far back. Did someone say house party??? Without any Noise disturbance violations (cough moogs cough) Cause we'll for sure be throwing one upon our move in completion. Right Jfay? We're still on the same page here? We told Tyler we'd get in touch with our third girly moving in and run it by her and make sure she's on board. Hit me on the gmail, I said to Jfay as we departed. Although this Tyler seemed down to earth, genuine, young guy, not pushy, he did play a bit coy when calling me the second we left, to make sure I knew "others" would be looking at houses that morning at his appointments, buuuut if we give him word ahead of time, he'll "steer" them away from our house we like. Gee thannnks Ty Ty. Ha but I thought to myself, hmm, do you really even have another appointment? Or are you just trying to get us going real quick with this deal. Jfay and I discussed our options and how we should proceed. I said to her that I thought I would just text Tyler and tell him we're into it, and as soon as we can get Brianne to go and check it out we'll fill out our apps. I said to her, he's gotta be a texter right? I'm just sure of it. She said, texter for surrre. So text I did, got a response within minutes, obv, and we set up a timeline to get our paperwork in blah blah yada yada. So we filled Brianne in, and she wanted to look at it in the next day or two. Our third roomie, Miss Brianne, will moving in as well and it will be so great to have a third roomie. The more the merrier with Jfay and Chels. Hopefully she can handle us? So Jfay led her to the homeland yesterday and she was a smitten as we were. I also took my sista from anotha mista (you get the idea) Kell Kell by it. Who knows when the next time she'll be boppin around down in Salem. Her trips to the capital land are few and far in between. I think she's like, allergic or something sort of? Salem pales in comparison to her Pdx excalibur. Just sayin! Anyways our apps are filled out and ready to be faxed. Hopefully no doors will be shut! The good news was def blog worthy. I guess it's like, turning into a winter wonderland outside or something. Trying to at least. Shred time please and thanks

still workin on slippin out of that food coma....this could take a while

Thanksgiving came....and went. I guess it's December now or something? uh what? Where in the WORLD did this year go? Seems like just yesterday Jfay and I were moving our treasures up the steps of Copperfield Apartments. Needless to say, I'm a bit antzy to get those same treasures back down! And out. Yes we are currently on the prowl (for sure in a non-cougarish sort of way) for a new pad. One that can fit three lovely ladiezz, and their lumps. We're pretty oves the apartment lifestyle. The glitz and glamour has for sure worn away. We're ready to step it up, and you guessed it, still stay in the Salem community. But instead of staying south, we're looking to move more north, or at least get to south centralllll. Doesn't seem like it's that much to ask for....but for realzzzz, we just haven't found the spot yet! Annyways, if anyone is on the up and up....holler atyer girls. But for now...enjoy a little of this. Don't sleep on it.

OMFG can you believe it? It's a GUEST BLOG!

The moment you’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived. It is the first guest feature in the history of the bosom buddies blog, written by yours truly (the formally rubia, recently-revived-brunette from NOPO, also known as la cubana…Kellie Perez.) Jfay and Chels have been waiting for this post since the moment they pulled away from my little casita in north Portland…the day after I met Jfay for the first time and the morning after we ran into the woman in flowered leggings. Ahhh what a glorious night it was. To recap…it was Exit’s Buuuurrrttthday bash at the Hollywood Theatre in NE Portland. A night of video premieres, free goodie bags of dum-dums & smarties, and a silly boy pretending to be a photographer for trans-world---ya, right--- who was caught stealing a t-shirt from Jamie. He likely posted a bunch of pictures of JFay and company on his myspace page…he probably only has 27 friends anyways, loser.

I enjoyed the night all in all…met some lovely individuals who rocked the Holocene and told me about the pro’s and con’s of drinking SPARKS. (aaron’s fav, I believe???!!!) I got to see the infamous blackberry which was probably the highlight of my weekend. I mean, the blinged out taxi and the stickers on the back SERIOUSLY amp up the feeling you get while making phone calls.

Jfay, Chelsinator and I headed back to NOPO after some good dancing (sans Jamie…not enough pabst in the room to get that girl on the dance floor) and bonded over shared experiences and an extra dum-dum or two. We planned our morning at the Saturday Market, where we found all sorts of cat knick knacks, Obama T-shirts and Eskimo hats…I wanted to take all of the above home with me but Chels warned me to save up my cash flow for my debut visit to BEAMERS (apparently a local hot spot with tons of flav and hotties galore) which wiiillll occur sometime later this year. I, myself, am counting down to visit downtown So-Lame and the home of the bosom buddies.

I’ll be soon to post a photograph to commemorate the evening… And I’ll leave you also with this: a almost absurdly frightening, yet inspirational link to a craiglist ad that is sure to make any cat lover squeal like a mouse (get it? cat and mouse..wahhh wah wah..)

Live by Faith, Known for Love, Voice of Hope

I went to one of those community, fellowship, people gathering on a Sunday morning type things yesterday. You know church. It was the second time I had been to this particular one. And I'm for sure digging it. No complaints, except for the fact that it's a litttttle longer than I'm used to. But nothing for my distracted brain to fuss over really. It's down to earth, way more than I expected it to be. Totally judged it before entering in. They have breaks, whether you're a smoker, and need that after worship nicotine fix, or you're a coffee addict (I mean really what's the diff!) you get a break! Meet and greet/ a little down time before the message. The worship is my kind of worship. Contemporary, which for me is a must. Although in the back of my mind, and in my heart of hearts, I know worship shouldn't be about me, and what my "preference" is. But at the same time, I think it's not unreasonable to want to go to a place on Sunday morning where you can be yourself, and worship in a comfortable undefined or boxed in way, and be stoked on what you're doing, as well as who you're doing it for. So this is a plus for sure.
The pastor shared about what the purpose of church is. An interesting topic. I think so anyways, cause I know and have tons of friends who at this point in their lives, really aren't into the church scene. They have their beliefs, and I think still pursue a relationship with Jesus, but they've one way or another kind of lost their faith in the church and haven't had that yearning to get involved and look to it as a growing tool in their walk. And I for sure have been there and done that. Not necessarily for the same reasons, but more so for the reason of pure laziness, and not having that personal motivation/dedication to get myself there and find a place here where I look forward to partaking in good Sunday morning session.
Anyways, hopefully I've stumbled upon that. I think I have anyways. I've never been one to dive in head first, attend all the groups and the classes, the retreats and seminars. Not really my steeze. And probably won't ever be. And I think that's ok. But I know for me personally, just to have that little bit of fellowship, with others I do or don't know, who are going through the same things I'm going through in life, or going through different things then I am...but yet we still have that one connection of leaning on that one Savior to get us through. The common ground we're all trying our best to stand solid on, even when we feel like sitting down. I know I need that, and I'm not gonna get that encouragement, that insight, or those things to ponder I would never think of on my own, unless I choose to partake in this activity we call church. Half of my friends when thinking of church probably think of, this boring stiff and super formal place people get up super early for on Sundays, where you have to sit still, be quiet and listen to a lecture. Ugh. Sounds pretty awful. Glad I've never had to experience that. And I'd be bummed on anyone else that would have to! But realistically most the places I've gone to whether long term or just trying out, none of them are like that. At all. Quite the opposite really.
All in all, I was pretty into yesterday's session, like I said on the purpose of church. And if I took anything at all away from it, it would be that to be a "Christian" a follower of this all knowing and all mighty God, to be in a personal relationship with him, not out of fear, but out of want and out of knowing and experiencing a love so deep that is really does surpass all understanding....well it means that you Live by Faith (finances, career, relationships, future, okay check!) you're known for Love (doing unto others as you would have them do to you, not as they do to you, placing others needs above your own, thinking outside the box and outside of yourself, trying to do EVERYTHING in Love, not just some things here and there, living it not just talking it, a work in progress but check!) and a voice of hope (helping others when they can not help themselves (www.thebabysafe.org.....get familiar! having hope in yourself and having hope...in your faith, so that when any opportunity arises, you can offer up that same hope to others, who have lost theirs, or have never even had it. check! I want these opportunities!)
Without actually ATTENDING church, and listening in on this, I wouldn't have thought about these three main points in breaking it down so simple and perfectly to me on what it means to be a Christian and to truly follow after God and to truly want to make a difference in people's lives. I know I gotta let Him make a difference in mine, before I can in anyone elses. And by consistently gettin in the church game and cuing in each Sunday, is probably a good start.
Plus it doesn't start till 11:30. HOLLER

xoxo

The Blackberry is BACK.......and way better than ever

Sooooo...for those of you who don't know already, the blackberry is BACK. Jfay is back in action thanks to Chels' wheelin and dealing skillzz on EBAY. And this time we're not dealing with any little baby blackberry. This blackberry is hood. Hood as hood can get. It's blingin silver, and much to Jamie's pleasant surprise, has the most gangster settings ever already on lock down.

jatotheatothemie: lets just say the personal settings are ridiculous...so much that I may just have to keep them

And keep them, she did. To describe above a little more accurately....think, city landscape at night with bright lights, a pimped out, PIMPED out yellow cab, with rims, spinners and nothing but the best garnishing it all around. And if you're wondering about your volume level, what better than to have two speaker subs as your volume icons. You can barely see them on top. The previous owner knew what was up, and did not mess around with gettin fancy on their mobile phone.

All in all it was a great purchase, and for sure worth for sure worth the wait....
